①どうしてマネージャーになろうと思ったのですか？

まず初めにPhilinterには学生マネージャーとして来ました。学生マネージャーとして勤務していくうちに、学生管理の楽しさを知り、校長にマネージャーにならないかと声を掛けられました。元々IT関係の仕事をしていたので、自分の経験を活かしてマネージメントをしていこうと思い、マネージャーになりました。

②実際マネージャーになってみていかがですか？

想像していた以上に色んな問題が発生するので、どうしようと戸惑うこともありますが、解決をしつつ自分自身も成長していける素敵な仕事だと思っています。

③ズバリ！！この学校の魅力とは？

2003年に学校が設立され、昨年開校10年を迎えました。長年の経験から、様々なノウハウがあり、色々なシステムがしっかりと確立してる所だと思います。
例えば、プールの利用時間ですが、19時からと決められている理由は、食事の時間から1時間間を空けることで、しっかりと食べた夕食を消化してからプールを利用して貰えるように、小さなルールにも全て配慮や意味があります。今までの経験に基づき、1つ1つ小さなルールが決められています。
次に国籍のバランスがとれているところです。他の学校も同じ意見かもしれませんが、Philinterの先生の質が高いことです。また講師の勤続年数も長く、一度辞めてもまた戻ってくる先生も多いので、先生にとっても働きやすい環境があるんだと思います。
学生だけの為でなく、働く先生やスタッフに対しても、しっかりとしたシステムが構築されています。

④どのように学生のケアを行なっていますか？

元々学生マネージャーだったので、学生と仲良くなり、気軽に声を掛けてもらえるような雰囲気作りを心がけています。仕事が忙しくてなかなか学生と話す時間を作るのが難しい時もありますが、なるべく時間を作り、自分から何か問題や困っていることがないか、聞くように心掛けています。
また前は学生マネージャーだったので、ある程度学生の気持ちも理解出来ます。

⑤学生の満足度はどれぐらいだと思われますか？

はっきりとどれぐらい満足されているかっていうのは分かりませんが、基本的には何か問題が発生した場合には、早急に解決をしたりしているので、90％以上は満足されているんじゃないかと思います。

⑥最近変化はありましたか？

今年から、授業時間が50分から45分へ5分短縮され、1コマ授業数が増えました。また小グループ授業のみでしたが、大グループ授業が出来ました。

⑦入学前の注意点、覚悟しておいた方が良いことはありますか？

海外で生活をしていくので、健康管理には気をつけて欲しいと思います。しっかりと勉強をしていく上で健康管理はとても大切ですので、薬を準備したり、食事に気をつけて欲しいと思います。

⑧今後の意気込みをお聞かせ下さい！！

学生さんとは今まで通り親しい距離感を大切にしていき、学生がもっと学生生活に満足したり勉強に集中出来るように、自分自身も努力してより良い学校を作っていきたいと思います。

ジョンさんは韓国人の方ですが、日本でも働いていた経験があるため、日本語が堪能です。
