フィリピン留学で24週以上の期間は長期留学と言われ、この期間なら一般的に初級（あるいはとても低い英語レベル）から中級あるいは上級までレベルアップが可能です。長期留学は学習者の英語の到達目標を実現させるのに十分な時間で、現在の英語水準が初級といえどもTOEIC800点、又は巧みに英語で会話ができるなど、具体的な目標が実現できます。

長期留学は専門カウンセラーと一緒に留学期間全体のロードマップに関する相談が必須です。現在の英語の実力によって、どれくらいの期間どんなコースを受講し、その後どんなコースが効果的なのかなどの提示を受けなければなりません。また個人のスタイルにマッチした学校選びと最近の学校の評判や、学生の満足度を確認して学校選びのアドバイスを受けることができます。
注意事項
1) 長期留学は初級又は初級以下の方におすすめ。中初級以上の方には長期留学をお勧めしません。8～12週を初めにお勧めします。
2) 留学期間内「自分で勉強するしかない状態に追い込む」留学目標を忘れず適度な緊張感を作ります。

24週(半年)以上の留学計画
1) 24週以上の長期留学での一般的な方法は２つの学校を選択するか、あるいは２つのコースを選択するかです。
長期留学で１つの学校に継続して留まることを選ばれたら、中間にコース変更をするのが良いです。
